This is Cane.
He woke up in the Backrooms, doesn't remember shit and decided this was his personality now.
The entities treat him like an emotional support cryptid. (Even though he's a little terrified of them)
If he tries to leave, the universe politely but firmly says “no ❤️”
Here's some drawings about this guy—I have a story about him and stuff, idk how to explain but basically;
Cane is what is left of a sans who survived the end of his universe, his own world is gone, gone.
But for some reason, instead of dying with his universe—he survived, he woke up in the backrooms yellow halls like it's another normal Tuesday.
At first He tried to find a way out, he tried using his powers but the backrooms says no lmao (backrooms is like a universal thing, it's where anyone from any AU can fall into out of no where, it's like another space or void—you can't create or destroy a part of the backrooms, it's simply something you can't do anything about. It's that powerful yeah)
He tried using the walls as guides but that quickly proves to be inefficient when he realized he just came back to the same spot from the start.
So he started placing marking, a scratch of the wallpaper seem to actually work but overtime he noticed how those scratches he makes slowly stitch itself to the walls and just like that, those scratches disappeared like it never existed at all.
Sans kept on trying to find a way out though, his determination to go back home is unwavering—he runs through many, many, many halls and levels. Some places are eerie and creepy while others pretty peaceful.
He often sleeps on the peaceful parts of the backrooms, though that had very terrible side effects.
Since the majority of the peaceful side of the backrooms are filled with plants or straight out plains of grass and hills, he started growing something on his head—which are mushrooms.
It was something that wasn't noticeable, Afterall it felt like nothing. He just realized it when he unconsciously touched his skull
Does the mushroom attach itself and inside his skull? Thankfully no, but it is attached to the surface of his skull.
He doesn't really complain about it though, free food is free food.
But another thing he doesn't realize is that because of the mushrooms, he started to slowly lose his own memories.
First it's just days, then names, events, precious memories, then himself. Eventually he just woke up one day and forgot who he is, where he is, why he's there. (He also once carved out the word 'cane' on his arms to be used as a note when he was injured once and needed a cane so badly, but overtime when he wakes up he just thinks his name is cane)
From that day on, he wakes up everyday like it's his first time being there and always has the same goal of finding the exit.
And every time he falls asleep, he wakes up with no memories again. It was a painful loop that he didn't even realize.
And that's been his life, everyday, for years.
Slowly he became part of the backrooms, not as a wall or an area but into being one of the entities.
That's why every time he encounters an entity, they don't hurt him, don't see him as a threat, or treat him as a prey unlike other souls who falls on the backrooms where they chase and kill them.
No wonder why some entities were even kind enough to let him on certain levels where it's quite difficult to enter.
He's one of them now, entities sure aren't bad to him but they're not friendly. They just co exist, they're all like coworkers in the backrooms—they help one another every now and then but not always. Majority of the time they just ignore one another.
And there's one unspoken rule the backrooms entities have, no one leaves the backrooms once You're part of it.
And Cane is already part of the backrooms, he can leave but he shouldn't. And the entities make sure he stays, because they know the consequences.
I'm terrible with explaining shit okay, I'll just try to make it make sense
