Can I ask about Aftermath? 👀
Yes! (I'm assuming this is Afterimage) Out of all of my WIPs, this is the one I'm most excited for! It's going to be a post A Glitch in Time story that focuses on the cliffhangers in the graphic novel. The original idea was to be Valerie-centric, but I've shifted to focus on Danny since there's a lot I want to explore with him. I'm still working out the plotting for it (my beloathed) and I've managed at least three radically different rewrites on the first chapter alone, lol. I'm utilizing a lot of characters and getting the moving parts down has been a struggle. It's going to be a while before I post anything for it since I want the full story at least to be drafted out first to make sure everything is lining up correctly. As for a snippet, here's a small lightly edited part from the draft chapter I've affectionately called in my plotting as "The gang goes bowling and Danny strikes out"
Valerie shot again, Danny gasping and ducking under the red blast. The dumpster behind him let out a groan from the impact, Danny twisting around to look at it. He turned around again, only to have the tip of the ectogun jutted into his neck. Valerie pressed it hard into his skin. "I am going to finish what I should have done months ago," she growled out. Danny stared at her, unable to force himself to move. "I thought we had a truce." The gun heated up against his throat. "I thought we did too."
