Finally. As my multitude of followers know, the last two “antique” long, tapered candle molds I used were near complete failures. They wouldn’t release the candles, so I shot them to recover the hostages (or gave them back to my friend, who donated them to The Rockport Lincoln Pioneer Village ... Sorry, I’m rewatching the old TV series #chuck). So I swore off of trying to make long candles. However, @townsends_official sells a long candle mold, and as I have had much success with their short mold ... I ordered one of the damn things and another pound of beeswax. It arrived late yesterday evening, I poured candles last night and they all popped and came out with relative ease early this morning. Little tip, it hurts my thumb to push down on the candle base to make them pop, so I press down on them with a wine cork. I have the mold set for another round, and wax melting as I type.
