Jefferson Jackson would know the difference immediately. But then, Jax would have found Sara before she was killed in the first place. He also would have noticed she was abducted.
Imagine if Sara still had Jax or Stein, who actually cared about her and would, you know, notice when she was hurting, ask about her feelings and want to comfort her when she was upset? Backed her up, was willing to follow her wherever, respected her authority, and believed in her?
Jax may have been thrown from losing the guy he shared a mental link and sometimes a body with for two and a half years, but Sara also lost a vital part of herself when Stein died and Jax left, and she's never actually recovered. She's been slowly breaking down and having to suffer in silence until she explodes without them around.
