so, yes. it is all George RR Martin’s fault. him and his Santa Claus beard and his serious Thing for sibling incest that there may or may not be some kind of big silent agreement not to call him on, even in the capacity of, “hey, George, is this for reals a Thing for you or was it just an accident???”

but. either way, because I’m literal trash garbage about a lot of my life choices and shipping choices, I love some Camden/Isaac flavored sibling incest

(and Derek/Laura, Laura/Cora, I’d be more into Chris/Kate if Chris were a lady and/or I liked him more than I do, Deaton/Marin, like jfc, we know nothing about Braeden’s past in the family sense but I headcanon that she has a twin sister — Bella, in this case short for “Belladonna” — and I ship them together and have a few probably kind of totally ridic, off the wall and a half headcanon ideas about their family and why Bella is the only one Braeden talks to on any kind of regular-ish basis anymore or puts in any effort to go see)

(…oh right, there’s also Peter/Talia but tbh, I pretty much exclusively ship this in the context of, “the two of them had shitty absentee parents and Talia was older enough than her bb brother to get parentified for him really easily, and because Peter is shaped like himself, he latched onto her and got possessive of her since she is HIS sister and nobody else can have her,

but anyway. this Camsaac thing and that tag are also a little bit Astrid’s fault because I have my Cam feels at all… mostly because she asked me to play him for her Isaac in any AU rp things where Cam’s still alive (i.e. most of our RP things at this point), since if she’d played him, she would have basically had to be talking to herself for extended periods and it’d get boring really quickly.

and I don’t remember exactly WHY there was an opportunity for me to make a joke in which I called him, “Camden Blake Lannister” over his (reciprocated, if something both of them are on and off conflicted-ish about) Feelings for Isaac, but there was an opportunity for this at one point. that nickname came from how Cersei and Jaime Lannister are into canonical codependent twincest in ASOIAF/GOT, and I went to them out of all the GRRM provided options…

mostly because I’m hella fucking lady villain loving trash and Cersei is my favorite in ASOIAF land, she’s my sun and stars, etc etc I’m garbage etc

but then I wanted to start tagging a few posts of Daniel (or Isaac, or Kol-Kaleb-idk vampire witch!Isaac from The Immortals or whatever his name is, or any other role of Daniel’s) that made me go, “Camden would totally look at this and have feelings about fucking his brother” and… “things that make Cam feel like a Lannister” didn’t really have the implications I wanted overall?

since sure, Cersei and Jaime are canon codependent twincest, and okay Joanna Lannister was Tywin’s first cousin… but like? the Lannisters are more known for being rich, vindictive, power hungry, conniving, and blond

…but the Targaryens, on the other hand? like, Dany isn’t really known for this and there is a loooong list of reasons for that — but before King Bob The Miserably Inept Entitled Possessive Ass Dudebro Hissy Fit Throwing Usurper started a fricking rebellion over believing that Lyanna Stark was an object to possess, and before he killed Prince Rhaegar and Jaime had to kill King Aerys II, back when the Targaryens were sitting on the Iron Throne?

……well, back in those days, the Targaryens were mainly known for three things back then: dragons, incest, and a certain tendency toward psychological and emotional instability and sometimes setting themselves on fire

(……which, all things considered? was probably very directly related to the incest and how the Targaryens took sister-wives (and brother-wives I’m presuming, mostly because the phrase “brother-husbands” sounds awkward and weird)… all in order to preserve the alleged “purity” of their Valyrian blood. …which clearly did not work out so well for them in the long run, whoops.)

TL;DR version: that tag is mostly just a way to say, “images of Daniel Sharman that make one, Camden Blake Lahey, feel some kind of brother-fucking feelings about Isaac” in a way that I found more amusing

(especially since Camsaac are actually kind of ASOIAF fanboy nerds when Astrid and I play them. like, Erica and Isaac usually live with each other… and have five cats. all of them named after the Tyrells — Margaery, Loras, Olenna, Garlan, and Willas, who got adopted from the shelter where Cam works as the adoption coordinator, and got the name Willas because he lost one of his legs at some point, and he’s kind of Isaac’s favorite—

…and Camden over here can speak Dothraki and Klingon better than he can speak Spanish or French. …his Russian is somewhat more passable but, like.

Scott, in our RPs, always phrases it as, “no, you cannot speak Spanish. you can READ Spanish; if you try to speak it, you lose most of your actual proficiency with it and… kind of sound like a drunk Speedy Gonzales nightmare. so please just, please please please don’t try to talk to my abuela or my Delgado cousins in Spanish, okay? :/” and Isaac has similar things to say about Cam and how he can’t actually speak French.

there was definitely this one time at Euro-Disney where Cam got trashed and tried to ask the Prince Philip to elope but like half the shit he was saying in French was overly literal translations of sexual innuendo AND pronounced badly on top of it so……… yeah. Cam can read Spanish and French but he can’t speak them, don’t ever let him tell you otherwise

if Danny? well, his last name has various moon related associations and iirc translates into English as “full moon.”

if Parrish? it’s very likely because Cam’s reaction to the thing where Jordan lived through being locked in his car and burned alive would be to go, “fire cannot kill a dragon *___*” and assume that Jordan is a dragon until proven otherwise and start calling him all of the Targaryen related things, from “khaleesi” (like Dany and ignoring how this is actually a Dothraki title) to, “Jordan Bunnynose of the House Targaryen, Prince of Dragonstone Castle, and Heir Apparent to the Iron Throne” — and including, “moon of my life” and he would find this so hilarious because Cam is a fucking nerd

…then there was the one time where Camsaac dressed up as King Renly and Ser Loras for Halloween, but. uh I’m tired of typing with my thumbs and I want to take my meds and also have breakfast so I’ll just let y’all imagine how that went.
