There would be no predictable shoes from Lucien this year. Not for Cameron. Instead, there was an Airman 1st Class sitting in his lap, asking him to hold his hand out. A key and turquoise key chain were placed in his palm.
"So ya don't gotta knock. Ya know, if ya want."
Cam blinked down at the key in his hand, and looked up at Lucien with wide eyes.
"Wait- really?" he asked and beamed up at Lucien. Already knowing the answer, he pulled Lucien into a firm kiss and pocketed the key. Of course he wanted it.
He was grinning when they finally parted, and he sheepishly reached into his other pocket.
"I know it doesn't mean the same, it's not a permanent home per say, but I was actually going to give you this," he held up a key of his own. "It's for my place in New York, if you, or we- ever want to use it. It can be a vacation spot, or if we want to stay in New York while I'm working at the school or something. There's plenty of room for all of us."
