But hey, those human rights laws don't exist on Earth! And if they play it right, maybe they can prevent those laws from ever being enacted there!

Martians rush in to find the perfect candidate to use as a test subject, and EVERYONE is like "oh you should definitely use it on Sir Cameron, he betrayed humanity to live in sin with the Mad Sorcerer!"

Martians pitch the idea to Lord Vallaincourt who is ELATED at the possibility of turning the Family Shame into a Moral Upstanding Paragon of what is Good and Righteous.

So Martians kidnap Sir Cameron, with Lord Vallaincourt's blessing to at least maintain a veneer of ethics, install the Device and parade him around as a proof of concept. Look, we've taken the second most reprehensible man in Larnia and cleansed him of his sinful impurities! We're doing a service to you and your church, we were sent by God to purge Larnia of sin, who wants to buy?

Sir Cameron under orders to kill Merulo, the hands around Merulo's neck shaking and twitching, never quite tightening enough to finish the job?

Cameron standing by silently, empty eyes, vapid smile, desperate to scream and cry and beg someone to help him but that is not an Approved Behavior and thus it's blocked.
