Shiro and Lance’s daughter, on camera: You’re probably just jealous that I can get more girls than you.

Shiro and Lance:

Shiro

- surprisingly not a huge fan of giving piggy-back rides. he’s strong and doesn’t mind lifting you, but piggy-back can get kinda awkward for his floating arm. 

-He’ll probably only let you do it if you’re like, really tired, or if you got injured in a way that makes walking difficult. If you get him in a particularly goofy mood you might be able to convince him to.

Keith

- if it’s early in your relationship, absolutely not. unless you absolutely need to be carried, he’s not doing it.

- if you’ve been together a long time, as long as you’re in a casual situation (so like, not a mission or meeting), he’ll totally be down to carry you around on his back. it’s kind of an ego-boost for him, it makes him feel like you really trust him (also he feels a Strong Boy)

Lance

- oh lance be totally elated when you first ask him, the answer is yes yes yes!

- he uses it as an excuse to show you off, like “hey guys, I’m here, also my s/o is here, on my back, because they like me!”

- although sometimes, he can be lazy, so he’ll be really dramatic in giving you an excuse of why he can’t right now

Hunk

- hunk has a way of constantly keeping himself busy at like, all times, so his willingness to carry you around is pretty on-and-off. if you’re gonna be in the way, he’s gonna have to pass on the piggyback rides.

- if you two are just like, hanging out on a date outside, or walking from one place in the garrison to another, then he’s cool with carrying you around.

Pidge

- pidge is actually stronger than she looks! if you’re not too much bigger than her, she’d be very into the idea of giving you a piggyback ride.

- she’d definitely hop on your back all the time too! she’s like a koala, she’ll latch onto you and you’ll both rush off to cause some mischief like that.

okay i’m writing this as post-war because if he left you when he joined the garrison you probably wouldn’t have been there the night he landed or the morning the paladins left in the blue lion. i’m trying to stick around the age you’re giving me, so let’s assume you were 12 or 13 the last time he saw you, and they make it back to earth about 4 years later

the failure of the kerberos mission was traumatizing to a lot of people whose lives shiro had touched in his short time on earth, but all their grief combined was nothing compared to what you felt when you lost your brother.

you thought you were ready. you thought you would be ready to lose him when the disease finally took him, you were prepared for that. you found peace with the idea that at the very least, his death wouldn’t come out of nowhere. the only sense of security you really had about him just shattered under you.

you were too young to handle the whiplash. it changed you drastically. suddenly everything in life felt so pointless and random. you became reckless and lashed out at everyone. nobody could blame you. nobody could imagine what you were going through. nobody could bring themself to intervene in your downward spiral.

the first thing shiro did after touching down on earth was ask to see you. tracking you down leads to a juvenile detention center. immediately he’s on edge. even keith hadn’t ended up in juvi before he met shiro, so what could you have possibly done while he was gone?

at first you’re in shock that he’s alive, you run into his arms and just sob while he holds you. you’re thankful, you think this is everything you needed. you think this will make things okay again. he completely forgets about everything else, you’re the same sister he left behind, and he’s never letting you go again.

things are not instantly okay again, you both discover. you’re still feeling every terrible emotion you’ve been feeling for the last few years, and you’re too deep in it to correctly identify the underlying issue. you blame it on shiro. for leaving you in the first place. for dying too early. for changing so much. for living when he was supposed to die. for everything.

shiro’s walking on hot coals trying to make you happy. to fix things however he can. nothing works. every time he manages to catch you to talk it becomes an argument. eventually he stops arguing back. he blames himself for everything too. he starts grieving for you, because even if you’re alive, the you he knew is gone.
