I feel a bit insane finishing two in a day, but to be fair I was already a good way through both of them before today.
This pose was a nightmare to get right. I had to use a 3d model to get it right because I could not, for the life of me, work out the proportions (magic poser is a life saver yaâll).
Also, as little fun fact, I (technically) graduated today! Technically only because I finished my classes like. two months ago. I also didnât go to the ceremony (I donât live within a thousand miles of my universityâs campus đ) hence why itâs just a fun fact.

I've been listening to Epic the musical (10/10 would recommend) on repeat for months now and somehow it's culminated in me revisiting AC Odyssey and getting my grubby little hands on any book about ancient Greece that I can. Hyperfixation at its best ya'll!
I haven't been able to get this concept out of my head after replaying the game. It's based (very, very loosly) on a fic I read some time ago where Kassandra raises Alexios (I think its: If It Began Differently by Madoking on ao3).
The story I've been working on is almost entirely a different thing but the general premise is the same just in reverse, with Alexios raising Kassandra (and also Phoibe when her parents die). I just love exhausted, overprotective dad Alexios trying to keep his dumbass children out of trouble. Mentally trying to work out how a 9 year old is meant to raise an infant and work around the main plot has been an entertaining exercise.
I've been doing more writing than anything for this, but here are some of the concepts I've been working out! I've tried to keep the designs close to cannon for the most part, but there were some necessary changes to make.

Anyways, I was feeling annoyed with my design for Alexios again so I put him in the Achilles set and called it a day (Achilles set my beloved, I will never go back to another armor set, you can't make me)

I love the idea of Alexios and Kassandra being unsettling to people--in this case I'm playing around with glowing eyes.
Trying to keep people consistent at different ages is always a bit of a challenge, but I think I worked it out this time. Faces change over time but the key features are usually similar enough if a little more exaggerated at different ages.
I looked at a few different armor sets for Kassandra, but I was primarily focused on blending Deimosâ armor and the mercenary set. Deimos doesnât really exist in this au, but I thought it was a fun call back.
I love the idea of her hair getting more wild as she gets older. Alexios is the one doing her hair when sheâs little, so itâs done more meticulously. When she starts doing it herself, she doesnât really care about it enough to fuss with it. (Heâs focused on them not standing out and avoiding people asking too many questionsâin this timeline he knows that the cult is looking for them. She thinks the whole thing is a bit dramatic and that the cult is more inline with the boogie man than an actual group out to get them.)
After much struggling, Brasidas is finally done!
Unlike Alexios, Kassandra, and Phoibe, Brasidas didnât really need a younger design (I might go back later, but I think itâs not necessary to the story). Instead I went with a âmercenaryâ design for undercover work, since I have him doing a bit more of that than in canon. His regular armor is just a bit too recognizable for spy work lmao
His primary armor is obviously based on his canon armor, but I mixed it with some other pieces of concept art. The âmercenaryâ armor is based on the Odysseus set with a hint of Spartan Renegade I think. I had initially planned on going with green (complementary colors and all) but it was fighting me. Blue looked good, but also too Athenian though so I landed in the middle.
I love a good identity reveal, so Brasidas (along with the majority of other key characters) spends a decent part of the story not knowing who Alexios and Kassandra really are. He knows that he isnât getting the whole truth, Alexios is pretty upfront with that, but the longer they know each other the more it causes issues.
