It could certainly be possible that one might be able to consider Kaito a ‘jack of all trades’ when it came to sweets knowledge. He knew plenty about a lot of things, some more than others, but there were points in time when he, like any other person, came face to face with something he’d never tried before. That was the case in the current moment, as he stood outside a bakery gazing in with interested eyes, particularly towards the macarons. There were plenty of interesting flavors; some he’d tried before, others he’d never even heard of. And he was curious, about these new ones. The android happened to notice someone nearby, so hey, why not ask them if they’ve ever had a taste of this?

He was getting a bit more used to this place. His first few hours had been an incredibly nerve-wracking experience. If he was being honest, he still hadn’t really gotten used to it. Still, he’d relaxed a bit, and was just wandering around trying to learn his way around the city for the time being. If he was lucky, he’d find something like an ocean or some other form of salt wather somewhere along the way. Getting angry at every passerby wouldn’t do him any good. 

So, when he saw a girl nearby, he decided to swallow his pride for the time being. If he was lucky, she had more experience with this place than he did. Maybe she’d be able to help him out. At this point, he couldn’t be above getting help, he guessed. Manaka and the others probably would have been asking around by now -- yet Hikari had to be stubborn and look by himself for a while without reaching out to anyone else. That was just how he was. 

(♒☂) “Um... excuse me? Can I ask if you know your way around this place?”

He gave the girl a light tap on her shoulder to let her know she was the one he was talking to. After all, asking wouldn’t do any good if she didn’t know he was talking to her in the first place. He really hated relying on people who weren’t his friends, but in this situation he guess he didn’t exactly have much of a choice.
