So! This lil fic originally started off as my attempt at a quick 6x13 fic before the episode aired (after the photo leak) about Buck and Eddie hooking up at the casino.

After the episode aired and we got buck with his ‘superpowers’ I wanted a 5+1 of Eddie getting hot and bothered by Bucks sexy maths talk and mixing it with firefighter work such as Buck knowing exactly how much rope for a call, which translates to exactly how much rope to tie himself up with….

It also helps my boyfriend is doing his PhD in Maths/Engineering so he can help me be accurate with the terminology AND have a good laugh with me writing this!

this poor fic... it has fallen by the wayside with the other time-sensitive wips, but I do intend on getting back to it one day. it's a silly bthb square fill for "black eye" where Eddie fills in for a parents' softball team at Chris's school and has a bad time, but then he and Buck kiss so it's all good :3

ok so, just needed to stop by and SCREAM about the museum of death. my beautiful girfriends all agreed to come with me there as part of my bachelorette weekend 4 years ago.

everything you have buck have buck’s thoughts on the place was me to a TEE. and honestly, props to my fave irl gals for all gamely following me through the rooms while i took time to read plaques and look at dismembered parts

This ABSOLUTELY CRACKS ME UP because I have a friend who lives in Los Angeles and that segment in the fic was based on her experience going to the museum and live-texting me her disappointment (she had thought it would be, as Buck says, more of an educational and guided museum about death and she was disappointed).

GOOD FOR YOU AND GOOD FOR YOUR GIRLFRIENDS I love that and am now picturing them trailing behind you like baby ducks while you make your way through the museum.

ALSO HIIIIII I totally understand needing to take your time with the fic, it's, uh, a lot. Honestly I'm surprised by the outpouring of positive response I've gotten to it, I expected most people to feel it wasn't their cup of tea and politely skip reading it, ha ha. It's been very sweet and flattering that people are letting me take them on such a rollercoaster of a story.

did NOT realize desperado cover was on don't cry now album and when it came on the speakers, lightly crackling from dust and scratches and linda's voice filtered out i about bawled my eyes out at her voice. so thank you for continuing to destroy me i LOVE it and will need to take a week off in order to recover whenever you post on ao3
