One of my main motivators is music! If I find a song that really fits and describes the fic I'm trying to write, I bop to that shit before writing or even during writing, it keeps you in the atmosphere of what you're writing and putting it on loop reminds you of what you're working on. Like an alarm clock reminder.

Imagery is also essential. The more vivid the story is in your mind, the easier it is to write down. Back in January on the first weeks of my writing, I miss those glory days, I spend the first half of my day just imagining/daydreaming the fic and remembering the details. I don't touch any writing utensils until the latter half where I recollect the details of the scene as I write, it's easier and efficient that way because there's no hindrances or road blocks in your head after you've thought of the scene thoroughly.
