Meet Lovelace Terreth 🌱 (she/her)
Lovelace was once my very first Dungeons & Dragons character, a firbolg man who really didn’t get a decent story to explore. This was my first D&D group I’d ever joined, and as a new player the group chose my character’s class, subclass, and derailed the entire backstory for Lovelace, so I’ve shelved the character as a ‘do not touch’ kinda fella… but I think it’s time I give her a new chance.
I plan to play as her in Fields of Mistria and maybe a Daggerheart/DnD game I’ll be running, because I learned something from that very first group I joined as a player — do not change what’s already okay. Do not force players to play something hard, or make their backstory go out the window. Give them the time to play what they WANT, and it’s my ‘golden rule’ as a DM: play what makes your heart happy 🌱 anyways yea, that’s… that’s the post, pretty much. I want to make my girl Lovelace happy, and I think now is the time
