I actually did the same program! We were staying at Laval so the old part of the city was only a few minutes by bus. I did the program 5 years ago (omg I'm getting old!) and I still am super close with people I met there. I hope you have a wonderful time.

Have fun in Quebec! I lived there for a summer in high school and it was genuinely incredible. If you get a chance, definitely spend some time in Old Quebec City. It's beautiful and there are so many greats sights. Eat lots of gelato and beaver tails. Don't let anybody tell you the people are unfriendly, because they're lovely and VERY patient with people still learning their language.
