It was love at first sight when I chanced upon @littleroguecoffee‘s Soft Scrambled Eggs with Truffle Cream & Ikura while mindlessly scrolling IG one day when it just opened. The temptation was so strong I went the following day 😅 (I could never say no to ikura 🐟🥚and eggs🥚) The Melbourne-inspired cafe had a relaxed and airy vibe which I liked, and I appreciated the thought put into making the place sustainable and neighbourhood-friendly. There’s a kids’ play area right in the middle of the cafe (currently closed - understandably), bicycle parking at the front (oogling at the ‘chio’ bikes) and a community library where people can exchange books. Furniture are upcycled from @hocksiong Grub-wise, it is definitely tasty and worth the price. My scrambled eggs were worth the trip, and dessert was beautifully presented. Staff were also friendly and polite. I could easily spend a few hours here, sipping on my coffee and thinking about nothing. It’s the kind of place that is made for the community in mind and made for comfort, unlike the avalanche of pretty cafes made for the gram and tastes meh.
