I just want to let all of the gender non-conforming women/"afab" people out there know that radfems are always here for you. If you get sick of queer activism's misogyny, you can always join us. There is no wrong way to be a woman. Furthermore, internalized misogyny sucks. It is exhausting to be preoccupied with other people's perceptions of you 24/7.

being cafab trans, specifically a trans man, means - being allowed into ‘liberal’ male spaces AND women’s spaces - cis men will feel comfortable spouting (trans)misogyny around you * b/c cis men who “respect” your trans id. will treat you like “just another guy” - not murdered - seen as acceptable by transmisogynistic cis men * cis man on a bus: “it’s ok if a girl wants to dress up as a guy, but whenever i see [my friend, a trans woman], i want to [description of violence]” - (nonbinary) still accepted into women’s spaces, typically seen as a woman by women - clothes more likely to come in appropriate sizes - more likely to find other cafab trans people in community (most trans communities i’m part of are dominated by cafab trans people) meaning it’ll be easier to find narratives - not violently attacked
So there's this thing I've seen floating around lately, and it's kind of grossing me out.
(I'm a white, trans, non-binary, generally femininely-leaning camab person, for context)
Can people just...stop it with 'cafab privilege'? It's not a thing. The only thing that is a thing is -masculine- privilege (which includes cafab trans men). So either you're claiming that trans people with vaginas have privilege because of their vaginas (in which case, I don't even know where to start), or you're equating cafab trans people with masculinity, and probably also camab people with femininity (in which case, you should stop and think about that for a second).
It's not the worst thing ever, but it's pretty gross and erasing of camab trans people who want to present masculinely or butchly or something, or trans men who want to present femininely or identify as femme.
