Just found your blog and I love your art! Seeing your CadMac art made me wonder what you think of the Transfem Big Mac headcanon? I know it wouldn’t be “canon” to your aus or art but the idea of Cadence helping Big Mac come out and being supportive is a sweet thought to me.
Oh, I adore it! Just because it isn't canon to my work (cause I already had years of canon for Mac and Cadence before that episode and I just see Mac the way I see Mac yk?) doesn't mean I don't love seeing it! And if it were in my AU, Candy would support Mac completely and help her transition, affirm her, etc. they're loving spouses in any circumstance!
In my CadMac work, sometimes Candy and Mac will go out to formal dates and he'll wear a skirt and she'll wear a suit, while Mac isn't trans in my AU, he does have quite a feminine side. I'd say he's not one to conform to any sort of gender expectations and while most times it's just more practical to wear sturdy farm clothing, not wear makeup, and he is the strong quiet subdued type, he does genuinely enjoy looking pretty too. Sometimes that's in a suit and tie and sometimes that's with nailpolish, a spiffy flowery hat and a peasant skirt. Cadence is pretty solidly femme (albeit with some tough girl hobbies like roller derby) but she'll wear feminine cut suits, etc. sometimes to play the swap with Mac.
They also encourage their kids that there's no wrong way to be themselves!
