The way he immediately but indirectly claimed Cale as family.

I found it curious how he purposefully avoided possessive pronouns during most of their chat when speaking in present time, except when it was time to say goodbye. He used them when speaking in past-tense mostly.

He didn't ask 'how's my family?' but 'is the family doing well?' and later on he didn't say 'go to my mom's tomb' but 'go to mom's tomb.'

He didn't treat nor did he make Cale feel as an outsider despite being the first time they met.

He told Cale/ogKRS that he was going to save his (ogKRS) world.

Anyone who thinks ogCale is just having an easy time should probably watch the first minutes of Kaijuu no 8 to more or less dimension what kind of post-apocalyptic shit is going on there.

Not to mention, filling shoes as big as ogKRS' is not easy either. But he's doing it. He's working hard. And he will keep doing it, because he assured Cale he would save his world.

And what I like about that is that he didn't need too many words to convey: I'm gonna do my share, don't worry about that.

He wasn't weird about telling Cale about his mother's AP location

We know his mother was the most important person to him, but there was absolutely no weirdness or shadiness when giving Cale instructions to,,, y'know,, basically rob his mom's tomb

He's probably the only person thus far that actually gave Cale useful advice on how to become a slacker LOL

He was like 'there's no way you will get to slack if you don't get through Violan and Basen, bc they won't let you give up the heir position'

And I don't think anyone has been so upfront with Cale about that before. At least not during the whole Book 1.

Cos people usually sigh in exasperation or dismiss Cale's dream as nonsense, they don't even tell him why they think like that.

Some people act as if KRS' transmigration was a malicious act on ogCale's part and not a consequence of the God of Death fixing his own mess. And who, let's remember, already screwed KRS over before through the White Star's curse (which wouldn't exist if it weren't for his vows of death in the first place).

I don't know if people really believe that the God of Death sat down with ogCale to have a nice chitchat and explain all the details of the deal. If so, they clearly skipped the flashback of Choi Jung Soo's deal.

The God of Death only explains what's convenient for him, and the deal proposal doesn't last long (because the person in question is usually dying/about to die, which was ogCale's case).

Negotiate? There's no time for that. You take the offer or you die, it's that simple.

ogCale's options were either to die and let his world be destroyed. Or give thousands of people a chance in exchange for transmigration.

It's obvious which of those two options is the best.

If you applaud KRS!Cale whenever he does bad things that will benefit others, you automatically forfeit the right to reproach other characters who have done/did the same thing.

The guy didn't go on vacation to live the good life and leave all the work to Kim Rok Soo. Rather, he was the one who lost the most here.

Kim Rok Soo received a complete guide that included context, important landmarks, important events, important people, powers, resources, inside knowledge (like the fact Alberu had an AP himself) and long details about the future, etc. And his new identity is that of a young master whom no one expects anything from, and who is the son of one of the richest families in the region.

OgCale, on the other hand, obtained incomplete memories and powers, just enough to adapt to his new life. Which is crazy when you think about it because Kim Rok Soo is someone pretty important (even though he denies it), and those are some big shoes to fill.

His mother? Although she was reincarnated in the same world he transmigrated into, the adoption was never guaranteed. Choi Jung Soo just gave him the address of the orphanage and left. He had to do the rest.

His decision saved thousands of lives, regardless of what was going through his mind when he made the deal. Not just his family's lives. Which, I remind you, had been dead for decades. And whom he will NEVER BE ABLE TO SEE AGAIN.

And yet, the only thing ogCale complained about during his meeting with KRS!Cale was the night shift, only to add that he would become CEO of the company to get rid of it.

He tells KRS!Cale to cast his name away not because he's an asshole, but so that KRS!Cale can move on and live his new life comfortably. Bro even tells him how to actually succeed in becoming a slacker.

He's working hard, taking care of KRS!Cale's team (as seen in the special), and even tells KRS!Cale himself that he will definitely save the earth so the other doesn't worry about it. Which part of that is selfish?

AU where ogCale "quits" Nameless 1 (hilarious how his world is called almost exactly as the Trailblazer faction) because he gets taken in by the Stellaron Hunters.

Idk. Elio "sees" the whole shitshow that's TCF and the interdimensional mess that will unfold once KRS transmigrates and it's like--yeah, let's just kill this White Dandruff for the Script™ bc even Elio doesn't want to deal with the KRS Effect™

So he sends Kafka and Blade to kill WS and tells them to pick up a sad wet redhead along the way. They do the job, kidnap a noble child and Elio it's like: Kafka you mother him (hoping she will get attached and becomes less prone to nihility™)

Kafka turns to Blade and it's like: Bladie you feed him. (Dw Elio's plan works, it always does lol)

Press F for Blade's girl dad era tho, he has a son now.

Cale is concerned and stressed asf at first bc, duh, he just got kidnapped. But eventually grows fond of the Stellaron Hunters as they go on their illegal shenanigans across the universe.

Unlike the girls (Firefly & Silver Wolf) he knows he can get almost anything from Blade by saying: dad please 🥺 and shamelessly abuses this power.

He charms his way into Kafka's heart and bond over wine and spending an awful lot of time in shopping sprees together.

He's an insufferable older brother to Silver Wolf and plays games with her. He also makes fun of her every time Blade scolds her for skipping meals and ignoring texts.

He's kinder to firefly because of her health but still bullies her lightheartedly. Silver Wolf calls favoritism.

The absolute disrespect Elio goes through, tho. Gets called fat, stinky, dressed up and bathed. 'Unhand me right now!' Cale can't hear you Elio, now get in the bath your flooffalooffs are dirty.

Note: idk if Elio is the cat or not, but the cat endures this anyway.

GoD literally reached out to Og!Cale when he was the most vulnerable, after he had lost everything and quite casually put the faith of the world on his shoulders.

GoD literally swept in in his time of need and went 'give up your life and I will save your world' like a total fraudulent bastard

For real tho, GoD literally put Og!Cale between a rock and a hard place. It was one of these instances in which the other side was presented with the illusion of freedom, because let's be real: Og!Cale was basically coerced into taking the deal.

It is presented to us as if Og!Cale really just threw away his world and life at the opportunity of reuniting with his mother, but that's not really what happened, is it? His mother's reincarnation was just an incentive to take said deal, but he only took the deal after being reassured that his world would be saved

Now, let's say Og!Cale still refused the deal. Then what?

Realistically speaking, what could've Og!Cale done by just regressing? GoD never offered him the same help he handed over KRS (aka the awfully descriptive and full of 'useless details' novel that set Cale's initial course of action) and thus that was never a path open for Og!Cale

Of course, I am by no means discrediting KRS, because the novel was just a guide and the results he got is all his own merit. He efficiently used the information provided, instead of doing a total redo like many other MCs do, and I love him for that

But that's the thing, it was never a matter of which soul was more competent to handle the task in the first place. It not that Og!Cale wasn't competent enough to save his own world

It was always about what would work best for GoD's own agenda and fix his own problems

Because, allow me to recap but:

Og!Cale got reverse isekaied, which is like ten times harder to pull off if you ask me.

We're talking about a literal fantasy boomer being thrown in the modern apocalyptic age, and worse, bro is in the body of someone pretty important (no matter how hard KRS tried to downplay it). If he half-asses his new job, it's gonna be a problem for sure

He has incomplete information on his hands. The impressive part is that, regardless, HeniRoksoo still manages to do KRS' work properly. Jang Sejong says so in the side stories

So it was never an issue of Og!Cale not being competent. The GoD definitely could have arranged a deal that didn't involve KRS at all, he just didn't do it that way because it wasn't convenient for him

I guess GoD did it this way to fix the problem with the White Star's curse affecting KRS, which I get, but idk

I'd like more people to acknowledge that Og!Cale didn't willingly screw KRS over, but was put in a difficult position himself

No cos, listen, Choi Han has gone through shit but let's be real: his personality was inestable asf (rightfully so).

Choi Jung Soo seems a lot better at keeping his shit together. Or at least he doesn't let others know how much things affect him, and tries to keep on smiling despite how many times life has kicked him down.

So his immediate response to Og! Cale's act wouldn't necessarily be beating the shit out of him. He would probably go for petty revenge.

That means no getting chased out of the Henituse territory.

Imagine Ron being like '??? the young master came back smelling like those guys who killed my family. What'

Cos OgCale is carrying Jung Soo's smell. Cue to a homeless golden retriever CJS being absolutely done and having to deal with father and son duo.

'Dude, I didn't come here for this.'

Cos GoD can (and has) gone out of his way to make stuff happen before, but for some reason he got a very stick-to-the-book, migration-agent-like attitude when it came to LSH's reincarnation.

I guess GoD couldn't really do anything when it comes to Choi Jung Soo cos wanderer privilege™ but the change in treatment is very sus.

And before anyone tells me "nah, that's reaching a bit---" let's remember this guy has a track record of kicking people from their homeworlds without consent (CJG, CH, Cale) so I don't put it past him to do it out of sheer pettiness.

No but seriously, it's so weird how he's willing to bend rules for other ppl but he's an asshole to LSH. I really need a reason for that cos ??? I don't believe in that 'sticking to the rules' bullshit

Allow me to flesh out this idea, in case you missed the point:

The whole thing this is about is how GoD went from 'yadda yadda make a deal with me pls' to 'yeah you're a reincarnator but there's bureaucracy™, so have your own version of the herculean tasks and let's talk about it later' with LSH and LSH only.

And the whole reason I'm bringing it up is because, unless GoD planned to fuck him over like that from the get-go, his attitude is very ???

Didn't LSH help defeat the WS anyways? Or we're just gonna ignore the fact LSH essentially gave Cale a spatial pocket dimension of his own, which allowed Cale kill WS at his own pace 🤷🏻‍♀️

"Oh but that's bc LSH needed to gather merit!" And what was the game plan in the case LSH took the deal instead of dying on KRS' behalf? <<< THAT'S where I'm getting at.

Whether he took the deal or not, LSH was required to help take down WS anyways. The only difference is that the second time was practically demanded of him, but the first time it wasn't 🤨

And that's the point. The rules changed. Like,, GoD pretended to skip said reincarnation bureaucracy once but then backtracked and conveniently became a rule-oriented guy?? Talk about lack of consistency.

You can argue "well, it's because the first time is a deal!" as if LSH couldn't just strike a deal after being dead lol
