Vintage (1946-48-ish) run-by of Southern Pacific train #58 (Eastbound). From the days when men were men and mighty cab-forwards pulled the passengers and revenue mail.
Enhanced screenshot of the train shows.......... not much more detail. Without sound, we can't hear the horn of SP #4228, the articulated AC-10, but the engineer's hand looks like it might be yanking on the sound-maker. (Feel free to make your own train noises!)
The RPO clerk runs the crane and swings the caught mailbag into the car as the stanchions fall — this is the action shot!
