Just got out of imprisonment, met the guy who volunteered to help, and it was really just like

First off, during the announcement, Twin Elms from Pillars of Eternity plays in the background. This showed up for the first time this week in Watch Machina (C1E23), and it was subsequently used during the C1 art reels.

At 12"28, near the end of the recep, Bonnie at Morn (Instrumental) from Witcher III briefly begins before Matt changes the music.

Words on Wind begins at 19:15, when Beau tells Jester that Molly didn't make it. Matt uses this as a mourning song in C2, though in Witcher III, it's nighttime ambience for Skellige.

Temple of Woedica plays at 28:28, when Nott is giving Jester a recap of Hupperdook. It replays at about 53:00 when Jester is reading the letter from Avantika.

Next is Family Matters, right after Fjord suggests waking up Yasha.

Forest Day 2 from World of Warcraft plays at about 38:35, near the end of the discussion about the Bag of Holding. I've timestamped it in the compilation below.

Next is Exodar theme music when Fjord meets Caduceus in the kitchen. There's 3 themes, so I timestamped the one that I believe is the one here.

At 2:21:45 or so, Matt then plays Farewell, Old Friend while Fjord summons the falchion to salute the grave.

Words on Wind replays again at 2:26:55, right as Jester asks, "Are you going to make Molly tea?"

(16) I guess I forget that Yasha was actually tortured by the Iron Shepherds. There is so much potential for angst here that I think was ignored cause Ashley was away

(18) Nott's face when she realizes that they're going to have to tell the others that Molly is dead. It's brutal. How do you explain something you've barely come to terms with yourself?

(25) Beau's hero worship of Molly is so strange to me. "He was the best of us" and all that. I know other people have written much better thought out meta about how and why she came to believe it but it just doesn't jive with me. I understand it on a human/story level because Marisha wants to remember him fondly and because people tend to romanticize the dead, but Molly was just a dude, he wasn't anything special imo. (but also I know I'm biased against him so take all of my opinions with a grain of salt). It reminds me a lot of how Bell's Hells romanticized Bertrand and immortalized him with their name when he really didn't contribute a whole hell of a lot before he died.

(2:12) It is very interesting that even though she resents her father for it, Beau does fall into the trap of thinking that it was partially her fault that her father sent her away. She still believes a few too many of his lies about her own worth as a person. She wasn't what he wanted and she was an asshole, as if the blame is on her when that was never the case. The fault is entirely with her father

(2:20) It is interesting from a storytelling standpoint that Talisin decides what card Jester pulls her. While the later cards are random chance, this is an act of God in some ways. Meaningful but in a different way
