“I hope Clive likes this thing,” Peter says. He flips the box over and reads the label. “It's called apocalypsemageddon, the world ends twice. At least I think it does, I've never actually played it.”
“That sounds interesting,” Markus nods. It doesn’t sound interesting, it sounds stupid.
They walk back to the car and nothing interesting happens.
Why. Why is it like this. It’s so... hideous...
Peter, who has now chosen his Mug In A Box and is holding it awkwardly, peeks over Markus’ shoulder.
“Clive loves that game. It’s really... bleh,” Peter grimaces. “Bad.” Peter, again, you’re a true poet.
“Hmm,” Markus nods and puts the box down while Peter walks over to the counter. The only video games Markus has ever played are minesweeper on his mum’s old computer and those shooting games which are nothing like the real thing. He doesn’t really care, he doesn’t have enough free time nowadays to play them anyway.
Peter pays for the mug and he and Markus leave the shop.
