It had been a fairly successful week at the paper. Phoebe hadn't pissed off anyone at the paper, and was eben in talks to help out with the bigger stories covered. She also was almost done with her first draft of the first couple of potential chapters that could maybe be something. So, as a little reward she decided to get herself a smoothie from Earthwave, something she only passed when on this side of town to do some tutoring, but not somewhere she'd ever think to go in.
Upon seeing the price, she understood why.
"Is...is like, $19 for a smoothie normal?" She asked aloud, too mortified to care about potentially alerting the rich folk surrounding her that she wasn't one of them. Okay sure, she wasn't exactly a smoothie girl, but that seemed a bit much.
