the way that he looks so calm at such an overt threat. the bravado of a kid, the same as he was, versus the strength and stillness of the veteran. he's been through all of this, he's used to whatever Callum tries to do. he knows Callum just as well as he does, if not better. he's seen how the tides ebb and flow in their world, and knows how every story ends.
his whole life, his whole family, is this world. frankly he doesn't know anything else but this world. and he's watching another kid get sucked into this nebula. it's a wonder, what life could have been like without wrestling. but he and his family, his brother, they'll never know.
and now Callum is falling head first into the same home, the all consuming void, and he's making a statement against Finlay.
