C-Town

(Here’s something I wrote and forgot to post. oops.)

Confession: I have not been to C-town a lot. I’ve gone maybe 2 or 3 times, excluding our PM (Peer Mentor) guided tour.

A few places I’ve been: 1. Dunkin Donuts. Average Dunkin Donuts. Same here as in Korea, or presumably any other place. PLUS: They have frozen hot chocolate (yum!) and Baltimore Ravens themed donuts.  2. The Bookplate. Extremely cute bookstore with used and new books! Affordable. (I got Mere Christianity for like.. 1 dollar if I remember properly) PLUS: Owner is nice, allows you to just stay and read & they have student discounts! 3. Twigs and Teacups. Trinkets and gifts shop. Lots of funny, interesting things. They got a wide assortment of items, including cookbooks, organic soaps, and toys. PLUS: Always something interesting there. 4. Evergrain. Bakery. Absolutely delicious. PLUS: Sun buns! (Think croissant versions of cinnabons)

Fun fact: Chestertown holds an event called First Friday, where stores are open longer, there’s lots of free food, and a lot of people are out casually talking. No pressure to buy anything and live music in the streets. I had the chance to go a couple weeks ago, and I got to see a lot of shops. Unfortunately, I forgot to snap pictures. 

First Friday starts at 5pm today!
