Skomorph!!!!
So I reread all of @connorricks clowns vs mimes stuff and simply had to make my own Skomorph. This pretty child is the result of a human being infected with a clown patch and striped liquid at almost the same time, which resulted in some unusual behaviors.
Firstly since both the patch and liquid tried to rewrite the personâs memories and personality at the same time neither of them really worked out, and so this Skomorph has a remarkable human personality, if with more of the clownish aloofness and mimeâs perfectionism. Additionally most of their human memories remained intact; if slightly warped. Itâs not uncommon to see this one walking through a public location and engaging in normal human activity before they do something odd.
They hate sound just the same as any mime as well as not being able to speak. However they do love colours and movement, and their hideout is filled with artwork both original and stolen. They have bones like a mime, but theyâre made of a rubber-like material and can bend around 180 degrees.
They have some inferior mime and clown abilities but theyâre movement if highly fluid. If they want they can effectively slide around on any surface, including walls, which they regularly employ in silent dance routines. They also engage in mime of common clown routines.
Welp, because I wanted to try out a method o making transparent lineart from it, I figured I might as well do a colorjob of @connorricks redesign of the Magic The Gathering Nemesis of Reason as a Sonic character under said lineart!
Bottom ones are the DeepStyle I did with my colorjob and the original card art, and the original lineart I made if any better artists wanna try coloring. Hope ya like it Connor!
A Present @connorricks , the Dragon Crab!
A Creatures environment can determine how it will evolve, and in this sub-species of Giant Crabs case, it required two evolutionary traits; deception and intimidation. An extended mouth/neck mandible fooled coastal folk for centuries into believing this crab was an actual dragon, and actual dragons fooled as well! Dragons will not invade its shored-territories, thus creating a safe haven for its smaller cousins.
-note. the wings are purely aesthetics, and cannot function. perhaps if theyâre modified through magic...
đĽ villains
I donât mind redemption arcs for cartoon villains, even when theyâve done heinous crimes like trying to destroy an entire planet. Skeletor tried to murder people all the time and it doesnât make him any less lovable.

I think this might be illegal, but i did this fan art for TWO peoples universes, @connorricks âClowns VS. Mimesâ universe, and @bogleech âAwful Hospital Universe.
I really like the vairant worm bosses in the chapter II Arc, so I think this could just be another worm boss that the poor, poor fern could just get dunked on by it.Â
BUT, I also love the morphology and lore of Clowns VS Mimes, SO i was thinking that Silent honk is just a Skomorph thats been converted, graft, and everything inbetweet so much, that its just become more of a mindless Fuana of both species.Â
Shes has TWO attributes: Shes completely silent (except when she honks her good good horn), and she has an endless, endless cloth tongue.
hope you guys like it, i dont know if its still rude for her to share two universes, but????
Normus was created by Connor Ricks for the ATOM Create a Kaiju Contest. Connor Ricks retains all the rights to Normus, and the illustration and profile here are adapted from his work. While NormuâŚ
Todayâs Contest Prize Kaiju File is Normus, the hybrid monstrosity made by @c-g-ricks! One of the big trends I noticed among the contest entries is that people want there to be even more body horror in ATOM, so it was innevitable weâd get at least a few here in the winnerâs circle. Normus narrowly edged out c-g-ricksâ other creation, Dangalar - both were wonderfully meta creatures with designs that were very fun to draw, but Normus fits ATOMâs setting just a bit better. He also reminds me of The Fly, which continues another tradition of these contest entries: taking monster concepts from non-kaiju creature features of the 50â˛s and 60â˛s and kaijufying them. He isnât the first winner to do it, and wonât be the last.
What would the Shin Godzilla equivalent of Tyrantis be? I donât exactly mean âWhat if Tyrantis was a super mutating organism with burnt flesh and glowing red bitsâ, but what would a reimagining of Tyrantis be if his core traits and themes were pushed to the extreme, ala Godzilla 1954 -> Shin Godzilla?
I donât think thereâd be a clear equivalent, because thereâs a huge difference between Tyrantis and Godzilla: Tyrantis doesnât start as a villain. Tyrantis is unambiguously heroic from start to finish of the story - heâs a knight errant in a giant crocodile-dinosaur body. He faces some obstacles, and there are moments where humanity gives him reasons to hate them, but he never gives into the temptation - Tyrantis thinks humans are too interesting and fragile to hate, and is ultimately fascinated by us so much that he chooses to protect us.
Like... I guess itâd have to be something even cheesier and more anthropomorphic than the story Iâm writing. Like a Hanna Barbera version of Tyrantis, where he literally talks to Dr. Lerna in weird, broken caveman English while fighting out and out supervillains. Itâd have all the grim gritty edge of the 66 Batman TV show.  Also, since being a parent is another core of Tyrantisâs character, his son would be kidnapped, like, once an episode.
That idea is so entirely opposite of what I know of Shin Gojira, but itâs the closest youâd get to the exaggeration of the original themes and whatnot.
