Eleanor felt like a total jerk but it was an instinctive reaction she had. Her defensive walls were built so high that when someone finally peeped over, it felt strange. “Sorry, no. I want to stay.” She apologized, giving the man a sheepish smile. “My brain works faster than my mouth and I’ve probably conjured up a million and two ways how and why this coffee situation could go bad. I’m working on it though.”
