Sam shows clear hints of psychosis and is a mentally unstable weird kid. Yuki used that to her advantage when getting over Taurtis. I feel like everyone overlooks that, C!Sam was just a mentally unwell kid who got manipulated and make him out to be this demon when in reality he was more like "I love my friend Taurtis and I can't live in a world without him" followed by Yuki "who said he was gone?"

And Grian isn't a helpless baby! He was afraid of Sam during the week of where he was 'Taurtis', but he wasn't shaking in his boots, trembling in fear afterward! If anything, he seemed more angry. He could have left. When he got a gun, he could have shot Sam. He could have left him for the Yakuza, but he didn't. He even defended Sam occasionally. They were still childhood friends! At the end of the series, the end of the world, it was just them. They had time to learn and heal

And Taurtis isn't a helpless baby either! He was the popular kid! He had friends and a girlfriend, and almost everyone liked him! Plus, episode one literally implies he's a murderer if you overlook when he was ACTUALLY a murderer. Not to mention, Taurtis seems to have lived with Sam his whole life. He was desensitized to the psychotic behavior. I believe it's also why he FORGAVE Sam. Sam probably would have cried and commit a Yuki if Taurtis didn't forgive him.

Basically, Taurtis and Grian aren't helpless depressed kids. They're traumatized kids for sure, and Grian was definitely depressed, but not to the extent people stretched them. Sam isn't the big bad mean guy. He was their childhood friend with psychosis, manipulated to do terrible things.

From the deaths to getting Chan arrested to getting Taurtis and Sam to date her to egging Sam on during the Taurtis2 arc. And when Chan got out of jail, Yuki was able to befriend her and use that friendship to keep the main trio away from the ghosts. She got everything to go her way nearly the whole time (until things didn't 😬).

But a lot of people also forget that she's also a broken teen just like the trio. Her dad is the head of the Yakuza, so killing and manipulating to get what you want was natural to her. It was normal.

(And that's not mentioning all her lore with her original-timeline emotionally-distant-demon-mom and emotionally-distant-yakuza-dad, which was why Yuki snapped when it was revealed that neither Sam nor Taurtis didn't actually care about her, and explains why Yuki snapped when the dad that did care about her was killed. And Maria, Yuki's first Victim that she was soul-bonded to.)

If Gareth and Salex's ghosts appear and were set free due to Yuki's """death""", what about Rowan and Paul's ghosts? It'd make a lot of sense if they appeared as ghosts too since Yuki killed them like she did Salex.

but i think sam was very easily manipulatable and yuki used that to get what she wanted but sam was always weird so no one really noticed when she took 'affect'

(i also headcannon that sam got professional help and medicated, he felt so very incredibly guilty he changed his entire identity and hopped around till he ended up in Hermitcraft under the identity of GoodtimewithScar bc try to convince me they have the same vibe of insanity, scars just hinged)

Of course, she describes it a bit differently, but that is the basic gist of the explanation. For giggles, let's assume that all of Yuki's role-plays take place directly after YHS- how? Well, considering c!Yuki flat-out dies at the end of YHS and somehow manages to come back in Akuma Academy, only offering the very nonchalant line, "I may have hit my head a little on the way down," I'm assuming that it's all a purgatory of sorts. This would largely be due to her actions during YHS. This would explain all of the oddities throughout Yuki's series, namely how Karu is somehow alive, the universe ending events in Tokyo Soul do no affect the role-play, etc.

So, if this is the case and c!Yuki is trapped in purgatory, what exactly is it for- to torture c!Yuki? To an extent, yes. I don't believe it's a coincidence that c!Yuki is constantly going from school-to-school where people, mostly hear dearest friends, die by the hands of a murderous spirit who bares a striking resemblance to herself in YHS. It's ironic, and exactly what she needed. I've noticed a trend with Yuki's role-plays: as c!Yuki progresses as a person, so does the number of deaths decline.

We see the most deaths occur in Akuma Academy, which is closest to the events of YHS, so that checks out. Transitioning to Time Leap, no deaths occur in that series at all. This detail becomes prudent when you realise the entire point of Time Leap is c!Yuki going back in time and making peace with people in her past. I believe that the end of Time Leap is c!Yuki finally moving on from purgatory and finally moving onto whatever comes next. C!Yuki, after years of facing death, despair and heartbreak over and over, is finally at peace.

If this is true, I think it is a beautiful redemption story for c!Yuki. If you ever decide to watch Yuki's role-play again, I recommend doing so with this thought in mind. It really makes me view it differently.

In regards to your last ask, Akuma Academy started out somewhat connected to YHS, taking place somewhat after/before. But it was never explained more than that. Eventually, halfway through that series, CC!Yuki himself stated that was no longer the case. And it seemed to stay that way.

HOWEVER! In his third series, Moncher High School, C!Yuki reveals in a conversation with Maria (the recurring antagonistic force of all Yuki's rps) that YHS did happen, and when Yuki died, she sorta got sent to another timeline.

MARIA: "And he broke your heart, didn't he... That's when I woke up, ya know. I felt it. In your heart.

YUKI: "Maria, that-that time... I had no other choice but to jump. And now I'm back in this world-"

C!Sam breaking C!Yuki's heart is canonically what woke up Maria in Akuma Academy.

The timeline jumping stuff was established as a demon power before this big reveal, when Yuki's mom, Lilith, was first introduced in Akuma.

But if that small line isn't enough to convince you of the timeline jumping shenanigans being canon, C!Yuki actually fully explains her story to children in the following series, "Day Care Time-Leap", when her demon powers accidently put her in her 6 year old selves body.

YUKI: "...I fell in love with a Bunny Boy, I tried to kill all his friends, then Maria woke up cuz he broke my heart..."

Here it's (kinda) revealed that the timeline Yuki went to after YHS is actually her real timeline, and she only went to YHS's timeline after running away from her mom, who took her away from her dad during a fight. This was also when she first killed Maria.

(I say kinda revealed because it was already implied when her parents showed up in the previous rps, but here it's finally confirmed)

Sooo yeah. Think of it this way, Yandere High School is canon to Akuma->Time-Leap, but Akuma->Time-Leap isn't canon to Yandere High School

I recently went back to reread it, and while I haven't finished it, surprisingly, the characters are well written. Like, they all seem pretty much in character.

I think there was a sequel that focused on Cthulhu chasing the gang with Yuki as his herald, I don't exactly remember. I just remember loving both fics in the early Fandom days.
