I’ll never get over the fact that rather than C!Andy angrily ripping into C!Ethan for telling C!Rachel about their scars, like most of us thought they would, even after they told him not to, they hug him and tell him they’re not angry and that Rach needed to know at some point. Aswell as the fact it wasn’t fair they hadn’t told them. I feel like that shows the development between Ethan and Andy honestly. They are more friends now than they were when Andy found out about his skulk. They’re more gentle, and willing to forgive him bc they know they can kinda trust him now. They don’t have to hold up such a shield. In addition, Andy is collectively misunderstood as a character. Even Ethan is a bit confused as to why they forgave him so easy and when they hugged him, he was genuinely surprised bc, “they don’t seem like much of a hugger.” in his words. Andy isn’t violent and mean, they’re caring and just hard to read, aswell as wanting to protect themselves and what’s dear to them. Thats why they were so quick to yell at Ethan and tell him to stay away from Rachel, they didn’t understand how the skulk spread to Ethan and just didn’t want it to get to their sibling. And how they didn’t want Ethan to meet Koda for a while because they hadn’t trusted him and saw what had happened with his other pets. They hugged Ethan bc they care about him and felt bad about how worried and scared he was for their reaction about finding out what he had done. But then they literally thank him for it and even apologized for coming off as violent later on. They don’t want ppl to be scared of them. (╥﹏╥)

I feel like the way C!Andy acted in that cut scene is SO valid and makes so much sense. C!Ethan is moving a bit too fast. The two are just now getting used to being friends with eachother. For them to jump into a relationship would be kinda crazy, especially with how complex and messy their platonic relationship already is. As much as I would love to seen Greenwood happen, I feel like it’s good to have characters who don’t immediately fall in love with eachother and seemingly forget what they were to begin with—or just fall in love and suddenly happy in such a short span of time, with how much depth they have, it just won’t happen (yet). I feel like some ppl just want them to be together and don’t care about the development it takes to get there and just want to get what they want to see. All in all though, I do feel really bad for C!Ethan with how he built up the confidence to tell them, HIS FIRST NON-GIRL CRUSH BTW, that he liked them, like that shit takes guts. And C!Andy didn’t say that they didn’t like him, they just didn’t like how quick he was moving and obviously just needs more time. The slow burn is burning so slow. Which I’m completely alright with. I just hope it doesn’t burn up into big angry flames and they become enemies again. Because alotta other things could fall into place and completely ruin them.
