BREAKING: JEWEL STILL MISSING, MPD BREAK SILENCE

Following the awards ceremony over a week ago, the MPD have released a statement regarding the mysterious interruption mid-celebration. 

During the party held at Museum of Myeongcho, the alarm was sounded for roughly one minute before the celebrations resumed. Quickly, the MPD reassured guests that the signal had been a false alarm, however, a new statement tells another story. 

“At first, we believed the alarm to be a mistake of the museum’s security system. However, following a discussion with the staff on duty at the event, it seems a ring was discovered missing. We continued the event as not to worry guests and began our investigation immediately. Now, we can confirm that fingerprints of members two gangs were found at the scene and we are following a strong lead to find the missing ruby ring.” 

Sources suggest the two gangs involved are rivals Hydrus and Phoenix. It has been over two months since Lynx revealed Hydrus’ second-in-command to be a traitor to the latter and the serpents’ subsequent riots tore apart the city.

it wasn’t supposed to turn out this way. it was just supposed to be simple drug exchange, he was there was the bodyguard and they were supposed to get the money for the product and go. but it had all gone to shit, as soon as the product was handed over, the buyer and his goonies opened fire. why would they want to pay when they could just kill and get it all for free? there was nothing hyunjoon could have done, the dealer was dead before he even hit the floor. it was a miracle he had even managed to get away. but it was not without some issues.

he had managed to scramble up the side of a building onto the roof, hoping no one could follow him up there and they would lose him. it was dark, the moon hidden by clouds and with no streetlamps on the roofs, it was easy to slip away in the dark. at first, it was adrenaline which was keeping him doing, but that was quick to wear out, feet starting to sleep, pain starting to shoot through his every limb, blood staining his clothes and his hands. his own blood. that gunshot wound in his lower abdomen was really starting to hurt now.

yeji likes to think that she handles most, if not all, sticky situations reasonably well. years of experience as a con artist make talking yourself out of trouble easier than it probably should be and she’s got a nimble pair of legs on her for a quick getaway, but in the event both fail her, she becomes quite the sitting duck. she doesn’t possess the physical strength to fight, nor the knowledge. she doesn’t carry a weapon, the heavy weight always having made her feel antsy and uncomfortable, and it’s not exactly likely anyone cornering her is going to allow her a single call to her gang to come save her. which is how she finds herself in this predicament, her hand having slipped into a pocket it really shouldn’t have and a hand at least twice the size of hers catching her wrist.

in the few seconds he releases her, she makes a break for it but it doesn’t take long in her panic for him to trap her down an alleyway. after all, it doesn’t matter to him that she gave his wallet back entirely in tact — what matters is their own twisted sense of justice and power. she doesn’t need to see the snake tattoo under his sleeve to know he’s with hydrus, but the confirmation is both reassuring and terrifying.

his task was to observe her doings which was why he had come to the bar pretty often these days, pretending to be a regular customer. grim tried his best to appear as normal as possible, even putting on his business smile now and then to deceive her. one of his schemes was to appear harmless to her, so that she would put down her guard. in order to look just like that he gulped down one drink after another, telling her how shitty his day had been. barkeepers tended to be windbags, so it was easy to entangle her in a meaningless conversation about his work as business man.

grim wasn't a lightweight, and he was used to drink strong liquor which was why he wasn't really affected by the amount of drinks he had at that night. he actually hated the idea to use those kinds of tricks, since he was the more forceful kind of type. if he wanted information, he used all kinds of torture, but as bella was on the experienced side it wouldn't get a word out of her, thus deceiving her was the only way to do it. the hitman undercover staggered, as he muttered to the barkeeper to pour him another drink. his eyes looked delirious and a tad of heat had spread over his face, dipping it in a light red. when she slammed the glass in front of him, his head nodded forward just to hit the bar seconds after.

he didn’t need her anymore. not after all that shit, not after all her ‘i know what’s best for you’ preaching that he didn’t fucking need. did she even know him, really? no, she don’t. stuck so up on her high horse, he was that one last stain on her perfect record she’d tried so hard to scrub clean.

well, good for her now, ‘cause ain’t he ever going back to her. finally, she can live a life without his shit-stain of a self holding her down, like she’s probably always wanted.

but ... jun ain’t had much to his name, ever, and he’d only taken whatever he could grab in the moment from his drawers and dresser to stuff into his backpack. it had been irrational, fully driven by emotional, but jun wasn’t going to go back on his word. he was stubborn, and didn’t like being told what to do, so much so he’d rather end up on the streets, believing he could fend for himself, than actually admit any sort of apology first.

he ain’t smart, but he could be resourceful. he could hit up some friends, right? crash at theirs while he hunted around for a job to earn some dime, and also actually ... be able to do what he wanted now, no curfew, no one to really report to--

just him, and himself.

Anything and everything could happen in Myeongcho Island, so when a crazy man with a flamethrower welcomed himself inside of the bar with threats, one can’t really be surprised. Seungho was sitting at a table alone with a glass of water and beer (getting drunk wasn’t his thing) with his phone out when shit started hitting the fan. If there was one thing he enjoyed about the Swizz Bar was that it was neutral territory. He could easily keep surveillance on people from other gangs here without having to worry about someone pulling out a knife. The only thing he had to conceal was his raging urge to punch someone in the face when they’ve gotten too drunk and thought playing with the short kid would be fun. When the gentleman started making threats, he lifted his head up to watch, he didn’t make a move until he started up the flamethrower and accidentally scorched the female bartender’s arm. Seungho only owned so many nerves and anything against women broke them all. Seungho, trying his best to remain within the boundaries of the rules, grabbed the guy by the neck, brought him down to eye level, and smiled with his eyes as crescents but the grip was incredibly deadly. “Leave, yeah?” The aura surrounding him was beyond threatening and the only thing the older gentleman could do was flee. When he was gone, his smile dropped and the fire burned through his veins as all he wanted to do now was smash something. That was only shaken away when he remembered the hurt woman behind him and he instinctively grabbed his glass of water and almost tripped over himself as he approached her. His hand was out and his face was turned away as he tried to conceal the blushing on his face. “G-give me a cloth a-a-and your hand, p-please…”

Sometimes, and it hardly happens. Homeless people give the MPD some intel, it’s a pack that sometimes falls into place when a male or female who’s stuck on the streets uses their eyes and ears. They are smart people, most of them were former scientists, doctors, anything and lost everything. They knew what to look for, and if they were kind enough, didn’t despise the justice system as almost anyone on the island, they will help you.

She and the team were surrounding the abandoned building. The station got a call about a hostage, and the high chances of them being tortured for god knows what. Most of the time they get a bunch of cops, to settle it when they know they could handle it. But this was gang on gang, as far they could tell, but the person who bought them the information left out the names of the enemies. It also didn’t matter who they were, it was their role to protect and help anyone that was to be helped.

Frank, their leader, gestured with his hand to split up, Danielle following Peter to the left side of the front door. They hear the screams of a female, the sound of a machine being in play. They had to be fast if they don’t want a dead person on their case. So their leader is quick to close his fist, a sign that they could go in.

The scene itself was gruesome, a stool in the middle, a woman, probably around her age, she couldn’t tell as she was covered in blood, her hair hiding her face as it was hanging to the side.
