Koopa Kid [Post Mario Party 7]
I kind of wanted to imply things without directly saying them, the whole design was sketched out but isn't visible on this pose.
The implication i kind of wanted to get across was that over time Koopa Kid kind of changed- teeth dulled out, might have become associated with Brighton with the split colors, shell swapped out with a Buzzy Beetle... one of the original ideas i had was that he would slowly become MC Ballyhoo since that game has unused data with Koopa Kid but i ended up going the direction that he becoming Motley Bossblob more, so maybe one of his colored copies became MC Ballyhoo instead, who knows
Either way you're sort of seeing him at a crossroads but also very much still stuck in "party mind" as Bowser originally created Koopa Kid for that purpose and realized later on that he won't engage with enemies unless in a party setting, so he's become sort of a jester-type villian

yes, there is! Shellcreepers are the extinct ancestor of koopas and their relatives. Some of their relatives strayed pretty far from the original design. (See cladogram below the cut)
And now for a couple family-friendly OCs. Drawn by the awesome @ellenent! Go check her stuff out if you haven't yet, it's amazing. The Buzzy fella is named Amaury, and the Wizzerd's name is Rigel. They're carrovers from an old site called Lemmy's Land, which was notable until 2013 when the webmaster abandoned the site. It was still up for a good long while, and might still be, although most of the pages can only be accessed through archives, and some are gone forever. Ah well. Amaury can best be described as your standard excitable fighter, constantly testing his strength (and the durability of his shell) and always tends to look at the bright side of things. Rigel meanwhile is pretty much the embodiment of smarm and sloth... despite that, when he finally is encouraged to put the effort in, he really does come through (though not without complaining about it first). It's funny because neither of them have had art until now. Took a while, but we got there. Thanks ellenent for bringing these guys to life!!!

Neddle the Buzzy Beetle A pseudo-gag character at the start, being so short and uninvolved in the early adventure that you AND the crew forget he's even there. Originally he was going to be a Spiny, since that is the enemy Lakitus toss down at you; but I don't really like drawing all those spikes, and we already have a Spiky Knight on the team. Plus, I just prefer the Buzzy design.
He's very frank and irritable, mostly cuz he HATES the way he is. Making a deal with Kurt, that once they get the magic wand back, Ned wants a brand-new bipedal body.
