I love you more than the small dark purple buds on the slanting dark green stalk held up by black sticks and hair clips. It curls, slants,curves, leans, entwins trying to stand tall and proud. Encased in a cold, smooth, off-white vessel. Down the side, limp without life a dying pale brownish green vine. It feels like a person. Flesh fed by ice. Giant leaves surround, one with a deep brown lining the edge.

So first I want to thank the beautiful @miwawim for this dope logo she made for me. I absolutely love it <3 She sent it to me on my birthday back in December, but I didn’t think my blog was worthy of it quite yet, but I decided to put it up because it could be motivation for me. So here it is. At some point I’m gonna get it tatted too :)
But anyways I wanted to explain what the butterfly leaf means to me. On the very basic level I love butterflies and my name is Autumn, hence the leaf. But the butterfly leaf is more than just something pretty. It’s change, growth, and freedom. How something beautiful can come from something that could be seen negatively. Even though fall means winter is coming, the beauty of the leaves and the way the sun shines through the trees at just the right angle creating a fiery scene of leaves and trees is so beautiful and amazing to me. And the butterfly that was once a caterpillar. It’s the end for the caterpillar, but the butterfly emerges and it’s beautiful.
So change, growth and freedom. That’s what my life has become. I moved to Minnesota after I finished school and have been settling in here now. It’s been a challenge, but I’m growing because of it. I don’t know how long I’ll stay here, but for now I’m going to enjoy it. And I hope you guys enjoy the writings that are soon to come.
