Animal: Lynx — an unassuming, solitary, nocturnal predator that is graceful, sharp-eyed, and far stronger than it looks. perfect for a Crow Rook!

Color: Sapphire Blue — the color of House Velasco's jewels (her birth family) and her favorite color to wear, as it complements her hair and eyes.

Food: Tahdig (Crispy Persian Rice) — Beautiful golden crust that’s enticing, but once you break through, it’s soft and fluffy (much like Artemisia herself).

Drink: Horchata — Sweet and creamy with just enough spice to surprise you~

Movie: Ever After — Raised in nobility, orphaned, and forced to save herself while never losing sight of who she was. I also see a lot of how I write the dynamic between Artemisia and Lucanis in Danielle and Henry!

Character Inspo: Danielle de Barbarac — though Artemisia’s background is more akin to Anastasia’s, If I HAD to pick a character, Danielle is one I can see as inspiring her. In truth though, Artemisia’s an amalgamation of all the strong Latinas in my life.

Song: Silver Lining by Laufey — Artemisia has no qualms with her life as a Crow, nor with Lucanis taking on First Talon; as long as she shares that life with him, that’s enough. (and if I ever have her sing, I imagine her with an old-timey voice similar to Laufey or Karen Carpenter)

Season: Spring — Specifically after the last frost. Beneath her calm, collected exterior is a vibrant soul bursting into bloom. Life emerging from hardship, color returning after a long winter.
