to rein, from ana : you're looking fresh as a daisy .
years of wear and tear don't usually bother someone like reinhardt, someone who carried armour on his body most likely double his body weight, who carried a hammer, no doubt triple his body weight. and that was at a relatively young age. wear and tear, in fact, was too light a phrase to describe what his body had gone through over the years. yet, he wouldn't change a single moment in his life. he wouldn't rewrite his story. many years ago, he would have, he'd have done almost everything differently, but he's at the age where he knows everything had to happen the way it did for him to become the man he is now. the scars that litter his body from years of being everyone's shield, the aching joints and phantom pains from injuries healed years ago. it's all a wonderful reminder of everything he has sacrificed. even his fresh injury, one he had obtained by helping protect the gibraltar base, reminds him of the many times he had been in this position.
parked on his behind, hunched over to make himself as small as possible, while his dearest friend tended to his injuries as if it were second nature. like it was one of her most favourite things to do.
his laughter is boisterous at her comment, his amusement beyond a few simple words. ana had seen him at his worst, and she had healed him from his worst. she was a very important person in his life, and he treasured her dearly. seeing her, whenever he could, always made him smile, no matter what situation they found themselves in. â perhaps as beautiful as one, my dear ana, but i do not smell as fresh as one. â to emphasise it, he ducks his head and gives a loud sniff of his armpit, only to recoil back from the whiff. â my armour could use a few upgrades, no? as much as i love relying on you, my friend, i cannot keep you around all the time. even if that would be a dream come true. i could carry you around in my pocket. â a laugh follows, as does one of his large hands, resting tenderly on @burynot's small shoulder. â how i miss you, ana. you should visit more often. i'd like to hope it's not just to see fareeha? â
