Clearly made after oriental Sassanid helmets, with a nose-guard, with irons plates protecting the joint between cheek-guard and bowl, the holes for the ears indicate an infantry model. Found in Burgh Castle, England.

Late Roman Spangenhelm 'Burgh Castle' Solid replica of a late Roman helmet, which in the former Roman Castell Gariannonum, today found Burgh Castle Norfolk, England was found in 1960. It is a helmet of Roman infantry which in the third Century already was struggling with the invading Saxons. A very typical helmet that transitional period between Late Antiquity and Early medieval. The helmet consists of four segments, which with clasp and comb through each other are connected.
