During the scene in the flies, which is quite possibly my favorite scene in Masquerade (RIP Buquet but it’s so cool!), Buquet called the Phantom “Erik” in a plea for his life, right before he falls.

I’d never heard that before. Is that new? Such a tiny thing that adds SO MUCH emotion and depth to the scene! Calling the Phantom by his name, that bit of familiarity, UGH it just was so good! Somehow it made it more real.
