He was so scared in the beginning <3

Remember how I said that the last dingo girl had a doggo living with her? Well, here he is! Apparently he was also going to be shot, so we got him out. The owner couldn’t be fucked waiting two hours for me to pick him up, so he dumped him at a local vet and left a note.

Benji and I picked him up and met the lovely lady coordinating the rescue. She also she borrowed her niece and brought her gorgeous border collie so we could do a behavioural test at the dog park, and he passed with flying colours. He’s never been off that fucking chain either but he is as sweet as you can get. He’s polite with dogs and non reactive, loves kids, men and women, isn’t food possessive, and isn’t at all timid as we were expecting.

His skin is inflamed and raw (especially where his collar was) and has cysts under his neck, his eyes are a bit irritated, his ears are infected. He has mange (non contagious thankfully) and thankfully isn’t super skinny, just no muscle tone and dehydrated. He has a massive flystrike wound on his ear and some sore points on his body. Nothing that will be permanent or difficult to treat though.

After his initial assessment I took him to have a test with Aura since the lovely border collie wasn’t especially interested in him, and I needed to recover for the long drive to get him to his foster carer. He did fantastic with Miss Snarlyface, who is very dramatic despite in setting her boundaries, and they had a great play and had full tilt zoomies as soon as my damn phone ran out of battery. They had a wonderful time, she ran him completely ragged. He slept pretty much the entire drive to meet his foster Mum.

He has zero leash knowledge and doesn’t recognise his name (of course) and he’s extreme with his posture but he is literally just a big baby. There’s no threat in him at all. He just has to mark. Everywhere, everything, and everyone if you don’t pay attention haha. But, he is straight up a very much Good Boi and he is now with his foster family, including a dashound and two very cute young kids who he’s been thrilled to have duds over him.

I’m dying to hear an update on his sister, I hope so much the transport has arrived for her to be taken to Victoria.
