A little fic inspired by this fanart because I loved the idea. Before anything, English is not my first language so I'm sure there are a few mistakes so please don't be too harhs on me, said that, here you have the fic, I hope you like it.

She had seen that girl every day since they had moved there, reading under the shade of that tree, not paying attention to her surroundings, she was sure she even hadn't realized there were people working there. Since the first day Yang had been really curious about that lonely girl, did she live close or did she walk all the way through the town just to read under that tree? What was her name? Who were her parents? What was she reading? Has she noticed her? Sadly, she was pretty sure that the answer to that last question was no.

A few weeks after the move she discovered thanks to her father that, that mysterious girl, was Blake Belladonna, the mayor’s daughter. However, it only raised more questions, why did she read there? Wasn’t there any good spot in the town to read?

Every day her curiosity grew more and more, if Blake wasn’t there one day she couldn’t stop thinking about her, worried, only able to relax when she appeared the next day. She wanted to talk to her, in fact, she had tried it several times, but every time she made her mind to do it she forgot how to speak and turned around halfway fearing to say something stupid in front of her.

“How stupid you are” she was scolding herself after three failed tries that day “why are you so scared of talking to her? It’s impossible for you to know her if you don’t talk with her, she’s never going to notice you”

“Yang!” Called her sister, alarmed when she was almost at home. “Have you seen Zwei? I went home to eat a cookie and he’s disappeared."

“Don’t worry, he must be looking for someone to play with since you prefer cookies over him”

“Yang!”

“Okay, I’m sure he’s fine, do you want me to go back to the fields while you look for him here?”

“Yes please”

As she promised, Yang retraced her steps, with her eyes open wide looking for the little fugitive, but her mind wasn’t paying attention to it, she had finally found an excuse to talk with the mysterious girl, she just had to ask her if she had seen the dog, nothing could go wrong. It was perfect. 

As focused as she was on her brilliant plan, she didn’t realize how close she was until she heard a known bark. When she came back from her thoughts she saw Zwei there, next to Blake, asking for the girl’s attention, but she didn’t seem happy,  actually, she was rather scared. Without a second thought, Yang raced to them forgetting about her fear of making something stupid. 

“Zwei!” She yelled “leave her alone, come here”

The dog left the poor girl once he heard a known voice and run next to her owner. 

“I’m sorry he scared you, he really likes meeting new people, he’s not good at telling cat and dog people apart, though. I’m Yang by the way.
