Satan - Suspended Sentence [LP] [NWOBHM/Heavy Metal] [1987] (UK)   [Letting Satan himself dwell inside my speakers is something I haven't done in a few months, with that said, I felt like today was the day he needed to be birthed into hades, yet again. Ripping my flesh to shreds with soaring vocals, groovy yet melodic guitar riffs and speed behind the kit, Lucifer was welcoming me to take a seat next to him. Blizzard At Sea - Invariance [EP] [Progressive Sludge Metal] [2011] (USA) [In a magical world below the earth's surface, I believe a great land exists where people have no worries, no regrets and are never judged on the way they look or the emotions they express. Think of it as a wormhole that the people above surface should pay attention to and take notes from. The only catch, you live in fear that one day, that ground above you could collapse and destroy the whole city. Viter + Kings & Beggars - Diva Ruzha [Split] [Folk Metal] [2011] (Ukraine) [Waterfalls, no stress and a world filled with open fields for you to roam in freely. The world of Hyrule really does come to mind when I listen to this record. Maybe it's the flutes, bells, triangles, and such that make me think of my childhoods favorite soundtrack but this split alone revived my hidden love for folk all over again. Download Here]
