#vamps

anon i need you to know that i saw this in my inbox when you sent it two weeks ago and felt so immediately seen and loved so THANK YOU but also i'm sorry it's taken so long to answer! this is important 2 me!!!

i should preface this by saying that there are a litany of vampire films and series i have yet to see (buffy springs to mind immediately; it is often considered blasphemous that i've not watched it) so this may be a somewhat limited scope!

best would HAVE to be sinners, and i think if you know my #preferences enough to even ask this question then you probably know this answer is coming, but i really haven't seen a vamp design better than this one:

i think this takes the cake for me because i LOVE that when the vampires (but specifically remmick since we see the most of his various forms) are in their purest animalistic form that their teeth are all fangs; i feel like this + the tapetum lucidum eye effects really highlight them as predators. i'm also obsessed with remmick's ingrown / double fangs (not sure the best way to describe it), they're so delicious <3333

worst is tougher; i feel like there are a lot of vamp designs in film and tv that i dislike for various reasons (e.g., from dusk til dawn's design is just nonsensical, abraham lincoln vampire slayer is not necessarily bad but just lackluster, etc.), but if we're specifically talking about worst FANGS i would have to say van helsing:

like these are just ridiculous i'm sorry how are these at all practical. party city ass teeth. i hate them.

i also personally dislike incisor fangs like those in true blood:

i understand that they're potentially easier to show off subtly since you don't have to bear your teeth in the same way you do for canine fangs, but i think they tend to look goofy and unbalanced (unless you're going to commit to all of the teeth being more animalistic / fang-like).
