“We don’t got a mother, but...”

“HENRY! Happy Mother’s Day.”

The almost-teen is clearly elated to know that there was a task specifically for her! It was no secret that Hope loved to help around and she always went to who she could to see if she could help.

She couldn’t help running in, gently taking the folders and giving Joey a hug.

Last night Henry Hayes told him something that didn't make sense. Joey never had his nose broken. But that didn't make sense.

Almost a year ago he broke Joey's nose himself, when he found out that Bendy was being abused. If Joey didn't get a broken nose... Then who did he punch? He had to get to the bottom of this.

But going in and asking him would raise suspicion. So he was going to have to simply engage with the man and observe. If this was some elaborate trick from Joey or Hayes, he was going to find out in one conversation.

So, grabbing a folder of papers for Joey to sign, he made sure to hold off and doing all of it in one trip. It gives them a reason to prolong their usually-minimal interactions and get words in.

He walked down to Joey's office, and knocked on the door with two knuckles as he always did.

Time to see what he can find out.

“... he’s got a point Be-”

“A’IGHT!”

There’s Bendy’s voice over the intercom. It’s obvious it’s something important when Bendy’s the one using the intercom. Though how did he get access to it without Joey going ballistic...? “Listen up, ‘cause this is important an’ kinda crazy folks!”

A clearing of the throat. “Someone’s been impersonatin’ Joey. An’ they’ve been doin’ a pretty good job a doin’ it. Now, I ain’t sayin’ it’s one a you’s, ‘cause I know it ain’t. The level a impersonatin’ the culprit’s doin’ is beyond anythin’ a human could ever attempt. So y’all’re in the clear. No... This is the work’a a demon. Someone like me.”

“Exactly like me, actually. There’s another Bendy roamin’ these halls. An’ I’m askin’ to keep yer heads down an’ keep yerselves safe; I think we all know by now how dangerous I can be, so this guy’s no exception. An’... I want’cha to block the cutouts’ lines a sight. All a ‘em. I ain’t the only one able to use ‘em anymore, an’ if we can cut off any an’ all advantages this other Bendy might have, the better chance we stand a findin’ him.”

“... that’s all. I got a demon to find.”

The intercom crackles to silence.

The hair ruffle gets a giggle out of Hope, her hugging the journal to her chest for a moment before cheerfully adding. “I couldn’t have done it without you and everyone else!”
