There’s a squeak from the toon as he’s squeezed, and thankfully it does not sound like a rubber duck. It’s more like that uncomfortable wheeze a dog makes when they’re hugged too tight, only higher pitched.

“You know me too well, love~” He’s going to fucking own it, that’s what he’s gonna do when called out. “I really could, if I wanted to. But I don’t like lettin’ others see the sides a you that I get to see. Makes me all jealous an’ possessive. Makes me wanna let the whole goddamn world know who you belong to.”

“And you call yourself a wrath demon.” Bebe was lucky he was adorable. Anyone else would’ve been shoved off his lap. Not Bendy. Not his husband. “You’re practically greed incarnate with how selfish you are.”

With that little exaggerated tease, he lowers his head, resting his chin on the top of Bendy’s while he looks at his work for the day. A lot to do. Payroll was coming up.

But no one was here. He can afford to slack a little bit.

“You shut yer cute face. How’s was I ‘sposed to know no one else’d clocked in yet?!”

Bendy climbs up into his husband’s lap, sitting facing him so he’s basically straddling his lap, looking up at him. “’Sides, you don’t mind me bein’ like this when nobody’s lookin’. I could just switch forms right here right now an’ you’d be all happy, huh?” He’s teasing, and he knows he’s probably not gonna get a reaction, or at least not much of one. But it’s still fun to do it, and still nets him the attention he wants.

“Yes, you’d like that, wouldn’t you?” He knew Bebe wanted the attention. But he was right. There’s no one here to look. So, he just wraps his right arm around his husband suddenly, giving him a squeeze.

“Or are you just saying things just for the attention you can’t seem to get enough of?”

“It’s stupid @#$%in’ early an’ I’m here to bother you specifically.”

“You are absolutely unquenchable today. Wasn’t it just this morning you were swinging on my arm demanding to come to work early just so you can bother people?”

And alas, just as Grant predicted, no one else was clocked in yet.

“I’ll take one jar my good sir!” Exclaimed the dancing demon. He seemed…taller. And where’d he get a suit and cane?

That was... a look. Grant peered at him with an incredulous brow before rolling his eyes.

“I’ve brought 15 jars of my daddy’s moonshine.”

“If anyone wants to buy one let me know.”

There was a pause, ending Ram’s rather abrupt sarcasm.

Now, Ram normally should’ve snapped back at the other and instigated some bullshit about how everything was fine with his ‘aforementioned’ dad.

But, Ram had made an oopsie and for once, he felt self-concious about how he had composed himself. It was meant to be a joke, nothing more and now this man, human man, who was probably mortal… Is barking something up at the God about his abusive father.

“O-Oh, uh…”

His voice trails, unable to go much further as hie eye twitches as he stares down, ears and body language becoming closed off and nervous.

“G-Guess I deserve that…”

Didn’t expect to knock the wind out of the devil himself. Guess that’s something, right?

...But as he thinks about it, it looks like the goat proooooobably didn’t mean his outburst in the serious sense. But the man didn’t have much sympathy. He never met this guy, he can’t expect him to understand his subtleties like he would his mate. Still...

Inhale.

     “D A D D Y !”

“I’ve brought 15 jars of my daddy’s moonshine.”

“If anyone wants to buy one let me know.”
