Done with this 🧡☀️✨
revenge for @felinae-felidae !! his super cute arcane ocs :3
I have never played League of Legends or Legends of Runeterra. But I've been watching a lot of TB Skyen's character, lore and short film breakdown videos and gone down a rabbit hole about the world and inhabitants of Runeterra. So I went and made an OC.
My League of Legends OC Name Kamea Wistlow. Gender Female. Ethnicity Half Buhru, half Noxian. Appearance Kamea has a lean, muscular
She has the magic power to change the colour of things, which is a lot more awesome than it sounds, and is essentially trying to be Bilgewater's Batman... except there's no law in Bilgewater.
She’s meant to be a heroic foil to Pyke: both have a tragic backstory, present or past grudge against the selfish and corrupt people of Bilgewater, fishing theme, strong association with a notable aquatic animal (sharks and cuttlefish) and are armed with a sharp weapon on a cord; Pyke’s list and very memory of his death, his perception of who he needs to get revenge on, is constantly shifting as the jaull-fish manipulates him, while Kamea alters the perception of others to manipulate them.
Update: there's another one, inspired by TB Skyen’s The Mageseeker playthrough! He's a young mage in the Demacian story with red ice magic, arrythmia and so much trauma.

So, 3 days ago the Subjectively YouTube challenge posted these character concepts and a poll. Now, obviously the lazy puppy-whale is the best of these but something about that 5th design- the “Buhru Tamer” made me think of a spooky service animal.
An all-seeing eye dog, if you will.
Lore below the cut.
So I was reading this fic by @bluedaddysgirl on the backstory about how Silco met the burly tattooed henchman.
One thing that really stuck out to me is that reference to Mek (the name of the tattoo goon in that fic) having a Zen like philosophy, which in turn reminded me of League Lore.
So there is this idea that those big heavy tattoos often make people think that a charcater has a connection to Bilgewater the anarchic pirate town/location. And one concept of that location is that it also very culturally dominated by those giant sea monsters, much like the ones we see Silco admiring.
And the lore says:
Tattoos: A Common type of body marking found in Bilgewater. Due to the melding pot nature of Bilgewater, there are slew of different tattoo designs that can be obtained on the docks of the bay. However the most common designs are those of sea monsters, where sailors and pirates make their bodies with the images of these powerful creatures as a sign of respect as well as pride.

And the other aspect to this is that part of that setting is an island that has a sort of more tribal sort of Maori or Hawaiian type flair and where the inhabitants, the Buhru actually have a really interesting religion where they worship a sea goddess named Nagakabouros, the Mother Serpent. And the core tenant of that philosophy that everything flows and everything is in motion and that stagnation is bad and that you should live the moment, indulge in your needs and be true to yourself.
The whole idea of what that religion means was actually recently fleshed out in a side game, for example that it’s in that a very sex positive religion because it says you should stay in motion and go for what you want or it is very anti the undead because the religion is about worshipping life and desire.
Anyhow, just found that would be interesting if anybody every wants to use those ideas and philosophies as a backdrop in a fic :)
Ah, Runeterra lore where “but where does your religion stand on acceptance of the undead” is a genuine concern.
A Buhru character I made for a League of Legends themed Pathfinder campaign. Her name’s Yahuiti, she’s a pirate lesbian who was murdered by her crewmates and brought back by a bored god looking to settle a score.
