Taking microtops measurements! Tracking aerosols over the Atlantic Ocean!
AOD is the amount of light aerosols scatter or absorb in a air column through the atmosphere. Based on the Angstrom Exponent, looks like there’s some black carbon, sea salt, and some dust. The science instrument is called Microtops Sun Photometer.
