Ume could name about twenty missteps she did during that routine. Taking a moment to catch her breath, she leans weakly against the railing, head throbbing. The brunette pushed herself too hard, but there was no other way she could afford to be if she hoped to achieve perfection. Ume pants heavily as her eyes meet the door, straightening her posture at the sight of another student. 

Her cheeks flush, foreign to compliments, and a series of thoughts run through her mind: Who was this? Possible competition trying to catch her off guard, maybe?  Ume sticks her nose in the air.

The hall monitor nodded slowly at that, carefully running his shaking hands through the other’s hair. It was important that some measures be taken as they were in a place where it required that his hair be restricted and well kept. Though he did flush slightly at the compliment and keep taking measured breaths. His anxiety was screaming at him to move away and continue onwards. Especially with how much larger his classmate was in comparison. He fought back the feeling however and continued to assist him.

“A-ah... I-it is a-always a p-pleasure to a-assist a f-fellow classmate... I-I am g-glad that I a-am not h-harming you... I-I am not u-used to doing t-this sort of t-thing...”

      “Do you think I like wearing all these layers in the summer? No, but I do it anyway because it makes others happy that I do. You are seriously so impolite it blows my fucking mind.”

      Hiyoko had never really heard much about this guy before, but she knew a good target when she saw them. She was not going to waste a second not tormenting him.

Hope’s Peak prided itself on its excellency, but even such an exclusive academy hosted a Sports Festival every year. At present, Nidai was participating in a scavenger hunt. His jaw almost dropped when he read the item on his paper:

Find someone as tall as you.

Of all the possibilities! But there was no time to waste—the odds, while low, were higher than zero, and so Nidai would give the hunt his all!

He ran, hoping to stumble upon a miracle who fit the description, but he dwarfed all the students he passed by. Nidai slowed down, his spirits dimmed by a looming cloud of impending defeat. However, before his hopes hit rock-bottom, a ray of sunlight shone through the darkness as Nidai spotted a suit-clad boy wearing large round glasses: his saviour!

Nidai dashed in the boy’s direction, one hand waving wildly while the other gripped the paper.
