On Moon 233, Fireflyheart II gave birth to their second litter, however, unlike with their first litter, Songblaze did not come to the nursery until several hours after the birth. This ended up being because she was visiting the grave of Sootpaw, the only girl in their first litter. Sootpaw had died three moons earlier on Moon 230 from a dog after getting distracted following the scent of an unknown cat. Sootpaw's death, being the first of Songblaze's kits to die, has a big impact on Songblaze, and it takes a while for her to recover. After which Songblaze grows more protective of her kin. She doesn't want them to die so young ever again. Nor does she want them to have such bloody deaths, so similar to that partrol where she was the only one to survive...

Fireflyheart waited to name their second litter until Songblaze was there with them. They decided on the names Shatterkit (pure white she-kit), after Songblaze's father Shattertooth, Rowankit (red she-kit with a white underbelly), Bugkit (half pinkish white, half pure white tom kit), Sandkit (off white intersex kit with dark spots along their back), and Ashenkit (blue tinted white intersex kit with a black V marking on ver forhead).

Bugkit- A curious and friendly kit. Bugkit is always happy to be with another cat and is very trusting, and they are often very talkative- always asking questions of anyone and everyone that happens to catch their eye. Bugkit can’t wait to explore - and will often accompany Slipkit on their attempts to leave the camp - although it is Bugkit’s chatter that usually gets the two caught, Slipkit doesn’t mind, there’s other ways for Slipkit to cause a bit of trouble, 14/10

Slipkit- A mischievous and intelligent kit. Slipkit is every parent’s worst nightmare - always looking for trouble and smart enough to achieve it - they really keep their parents on their toes! If there is a way to get in trouble, Slipkit will find it, and they often get very creative with the ways they can break the rules. Not many cats are thrilled about the possibility of mentoring Slipkit- but others see their potential and want the challenge, after all Slipkit is undeniably a smart kit- and could probably be a real asset to their clan in future if they outgrow their troublemaking, 14/10

Orangekit - A serious and kind kit. Orangekit wants to grow up to be the best warrior ever - and they see that as following the warrior code as best they can, often disproving of Slipkit’s attempts to be naughty but they won’t tell on Slipkit - just try to discourage and suggest playing mossball instead. Orangekit is very polite and is the most adored of the four kits by the elders, Orangekit even eagerly offers to change their bedding for them, they like the elders, they smell nice and are kind and the warrior code says they have to be respected- and the code is always right in Orangekit’s head, 14/10

as if we need MORE white/grayscale cats in this clan?? but im happy for bri maybe she’ll finally be at peace and leave mumble alone. and i love that the most pristinely white kitten you’ve ever seen is named after literal dirt
