To answer your question I refer to 'powerless' by @those-other-ones

My guess Shego and Drakken got fallen out with her having a statue and her changing slowly and surely to a dictator warlord. But occasionally, Shego asks Drakken to do something for her... Those two had weirdest tension going on, especially with Shego being very successful in her war.

But really close to the reign of Supreme One Drakken created (successfully) new type of android robots. There was an attack either by rebels or some enemy of Shego's who wanted to take the tech. Shego already going by the title of Supreme One found about it and sends a mission to save Drakken and (more importantly) the tech.

However when people arrived there it was all rubble and metal scraps and lots of enemies. After getting rid of them Drakken was no where near to be found, but surprisingly nothing was whipped clean.

Shego announced Drakken dead and took his remaining androids and the biggest one... She customized it into DL-80 (read Buffkken and name is a work in progress).

Monkey powers warped her mind creating very dangerous semi stable individual. So once in a while she looses herself and android bodyguard DL-80 takes all of it per Supreme One's orders. During those moments she sees Drakken. And blames him for many things, including death.

Idk where I am going with it, as idk if I truly see Drakken dead. He maybe was taken hostage or went into hiding 🤔
