Contacting Tumblr Support
Problems with Tumblr preview post feature
As I mentioned in an earlier post, I'm currently experiencing some problems with the preview post feature on Tumblr (microblogging platform and social networking site). Since I couldn't fix the issue, I decided to contact Tumblr support to ask for some help.
On that note, I'd like to say that I'm really super pleased that Tumblr actually has a support or help or contact us page for its users and members (unlike some other blogging platforms which don't have any). They have all these links on each of their support pages. At the very bottom of the page, you can see the words "Can't find what you're looking for? Contact us" with the last two words linked to their help form.
On the Tumblr Help Center itself, you can see the words "how can we help?" on the search bar. Type something there and you will see "contact support" at the bottom of the page. If you click that link, you'll be taken to the Tumblr contact form where you can ask for help.
Contacting Tumblr support
I just tried this. I filled out the form, explaining the details of the problem I'm currently experiencing. I hope this can be resolved as soon as possible. I wouldn't mind waiting though as long as a response is forthcoming. Some just make you wait endlessly for nothing.
Good customer support experience
So, what can you say about Tumblr's customer support? How is it? I've had good experience with some companies/sites recently (most notably Pinterest and Buffer* though there are unfortunately some out there who aren't exactly stellar when it comes to customer service.
*Buffer is an app for Twitter. There's a free and paid version but you get awesome support even if you're on the free plan, which makes this app even more awesome than it already is (and, yes, I still think so even though I'm also currently having a bit of a problem with this app. The fact that Buffer support is actually trying to help sort this out really goes a long way and is greatly appreciated) :-)
You know, I really appreciate good customer service, so much so that I even wrote about my awesome experience with Pinterest support. I'm planning to write about Buffer too. I just haven't gotten 'round to it yet but I will. I honestly wish that more companies / sites / orgs or whatever you want to call them valued their customers more and really tried their best to provide excellent and awesome support.
