Today’s #MondayMaker is the incredible Jozef Bajus! Bajus is a Slovakian mixed media artist that I first encountered at Hotel Henry in Buffalo, NY. The works of his that I’ve seen are incredibly intricate and detailed but with a striking simplicity in materials and line. The piece I’m standing under, titled “Ivy”, is a collection of fiber circles pinned into the corner of this wall in sections. Other works of his I saw were a collection of cut paper and staples; the staples attached in such a way to form a pattern with the woven paper. He is currently a professor at Buffalo State College in the Fiber Arts Program.
