Hawk sent me this quote today after my second violent episode in just two short days. How does he do it? He's on the battlefield right now, for fuck's sake! How is he able to kill the bad guys and protect me while also tenderly caring for me when I am unwell!?
I just don't get it. He always knows just what to say to make me feel heard, seen & understood.
I could tell you that I don't deserve it. I could tell you that I am deeply humbled by it. I could tell you that I am insanely blessed to be in love with a man/elf who sees my inability to touch him as a good thing rather than a tragic thing.
But instead I will just give thank. I love you Hawk. I'd give my life for you. We are soulmates. And we are husband and wife. Even if we haven't touched skin-to-skin yet. But that which does not fade away has touched... everything.
