The new stolen headphones that only really worked on one side didn't allow Lira to hear the subway that crossed close behind her, even slightly touched her backpack, as she jogged across the rails. She was worried that her spot was already taken by that weird violin lady again, so she was in a rush. Luckily almost getting hit by a subways was worth it. Her spot was free. It was a good spot, greatly visible and right where concerned hipsters would leave their change to the poor street musician after visiting various cafes. Today didn't seem any different Lira thought after starting to play her first few folk songs. The money was okay, the people were fake friendly, what else could you ask for in a good work environment? Just as she was finishing her last song before her break her look trailed off into the crowds of people, constantly moving. Except for this one person. Her gaze got stuck on two shaded lenses. Suddenly a shiver rushed over her, the adrenaline of someone who just almost got hit by a train and actually witnessed it.
Sunglasses? But it's already getting dark? Lira couldn't quite explain how or why, but she felt strange as she continued to stare at the woman who was apparently watching her play. Strange in a good way. Most times, when she was relatively sober at least, Lira would just shoo watchers away with a polite smile. But feeling stupid for the sheer amount of seconds she had already been staring, she decided to let the extrovert in her improvise. "Billy Talent is that you?" she exclaimed teasingly, pointing at the lady to break the awkwardness. Shortly she had her banjo back up and loosely strummed the chords to 'sunglasses at night'. Something inside her was wanting the lady to come to her spot, which was for street musicians always a minus; having some normal person standing around talking to you. Did she see her before? Somehow, this lady seemed so familiar to Lira. She's probably just here often.

Bucketkicked/markhit is one of my favorite people in the rpc. Ramone makes diverse, creative, and well-researched characters from different backgrounds, but you can always see the love and tenderness that goes into each character. Not to mention carving out a niche of representation for lesbians, especially butch lesbians. They're all fascinating and well written, and I'm glad they're my friend.

there is a small whirring of fans that comes from the android, at first. she still looks like a bit of a mannequin, limp and sat weirdly, because she cannot hold herself up yet. but there are noises coming from her now, mechanical in nature, as software seems to boot up. the small light attached to her forehead whirs red, but a steady red.
systems come back online slowly. first, she moves to sit more normally. fingers move back and forth, same with her feet and her legs and her arms, all calibrating her limbs as they come online. while they all work, some of the motions are imperfect, or stuttered. but this does not stop the process from continuing. eyes blink a few times, before staying open a steady blue color.
for the first time in [DATA CORRUPTED], it seems that the world has come back to her.
"hello." her voice has a robotic tone, though, it is certainly human. a smile comes to her lips, something fake, and corporate. "my name is rain. i do not recognize you. what is your name?"

It was a few polaroids that the younger woman found when snooping around. A soft snort as she shakes the picture of Irene and some other floozey dressed rather…vintage.
“I would hope so,” Tiffany giggled before reaching it over to Irene, “There’s a date on it, I can’t read the way you write numbers,” She admitted shyly almost embarrassed especially since they were supposed to be this sappy, soulmate couple but the little cheerleader probably couldn’t cypher out a love letter if Irene wrote one.
After they finally figure out just how ancient the picture was Tiffany was going to give her beautiful girlfriend an earful just to entertain herself.
